Soft Play Heaven and Hell

OK... it was my (now) 6 year old daughter's birthday party today. 18 class mates, a soft play centre in Stoke Newington, jelly and ice cream. These parties are only two hours but seem like four. They scream, they run riot, they fall out, they fall in... they scream some more. They are children. It is parent hell. I know what you're thinking... serves you right for lack of imagination. That is a charge that can be levelled at me on many occasions except not this one. It was requested by my daughter, who absolutely loved it, as did all her invitees who left tired but shouting her name and in great spirits. So it was child heaven... and the place... ZoomAround in N16. Job done.

London Wetlands Centre

In the middle of last week I visited Ascot as a guest of an old friend of mine who runs a software company. Not really one for being corporately entertained I went just becuase I hadn't seen him in donkey's (no pun intended) years. As I was returning to London by train a few pounds better off (it was an excellent lunch) we passed through Barnes station which is home to the wetlands Centre. This has an international reputation and we are currently featuring their summer programme of events on Londonkidz. I would be very interested in any coments people who have visited the Wetlands may have.
